Every watercolor painting I create begins with inspiration - a bloom in the garden, a soft ocean horizon or a simple moment of light and shadow.

Hello, I’m Karen Preli - an artist who finds beauty in the soft, fleeting moments of life. With a brush in hand and water at the ready, I create floral and nature inspired watercolors that capture both detail and lightness.

For me, watercolor is a gentle dance between control and spontaneity. I love the way the pigment blooms across the page, how the water leads the way, and how each painting becomes a one-of-a-kind conversation betwen nature and art.

Multiple layering adds depth, while washes create background interest!

Watercolor painting of pink and red flowers with green stems and leaves, accented with gold specks and splashes on textured paper.
Two watercolor paintings of dragonflies and flowers in ornate frames on a white surface, with a plant in a white pot nearby.

I fell in love with these vintage frames. Let’s bring the aesthetic back..who doesn”t enjoy a bit of romance.
